GrowingCrafts is a project that was born from a printing order error. We found ourselves with a box of 3,000 unusable business cards!

When life gives you lemons

We were looking for an original way to celebrate World and National days with our followers on social media @growingdesign3 – this seemed like the perfect opportunity.

Instead of throwing away a box full of business cards, or to simply store them in a garage, we started doing these simple compositions by cutting and gluing pieces together.

A break from the computer…

We start by looking at the calendar and checking what’s the next special day. After that, some hand-draws on paper to see what ideas come up. Everything as to be quite small, so there isn’t much room for detail as it’s everything cut by hand.

We bought one of those mini-studios on ebay, it has these awesome LED lights on top, and a opening so you can capture from a bird’s eye point of view.

When everything is set inside the mini-studio, we shoot some couple of photos, run them by Photoshop for some tweaks here and there, and voilá! Check the results below!

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of
any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates.
I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was
hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like
this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your
blog and I look forward to your new updates.
