1. Talk about their struggles and dreams in your content:
Make a list of all the struggles and desires your ideal client has, and how your services help them reach these goals or solve these problems. This is where your messaging has to work best. Speak in their language empathize with how they feel, how they talk! The more you address their pain points and their desires (where they want to be, what they want to achieve), the more aware they will become of the gap that needs to be filled.
2. Show them the “what” and “why” of your offers repeatedly.
This has to do with the way you write your content. If you’ve done enough market research, and already had a good no. of clients, then you know what is it that they feel and why they need your services. One of the key aspects of marketing is repetition. The more you repeat what you do, and why the more of your ideal audience you’ll attract. Be it just followers. Yes, it may feel repetitive to the people who are watching you every day, but that shouldn’t be a block for you to keep repeating what you have to offer.
Bonus tip: tweak your Instagram highlights (in your profile) a new visitor should know immediately, what it is that you do and why. Or at least know where to look!
3. Leverage hashtags
There are a lot of hot talks going around about hashtags. Do they work or not?
Here we’re going to be looking into how we can explore them. Not use them. Write down a list of hashtags that your ideal clients use or hashtags that could describe your ideal client (for example; fitness coach, wellness coach, etc.) and then look them all up one by one.
Once you are on that hashtag page, click on “Recent” to see posts from your ideal clients. What you need to do here is, engage with that particular post, go to their profiles, engage with a few more posts and watch their stories. This will show them that someone has visited their page and/or followed them. It shows interest and it’s great research for you.
Please make sure this is all done authentically and not with the sole intention of selling. Building true relationships is key on Instagram.
Once you find your dream clients through hashtags, do not bombard them with spammy messages, keep it casual and keep engaging with them regularly. Make an effort to meet these people.
This is how they’ll notice you.
